The Elements of Review

Ok, here's a review that's more of a recommendation. I have tried many different types of hummus. I have found the best one on the market. It's called Sabra. You've probably seen the commercial where the people are supposedly on a Mediterranean vacation, but they are really in their backyard. Because eating Sabra is just like being on a Mediterranean vacation. It's so true. This hummus is creamy, tasty and never too spicy. My favorite flavor is the Roasted Pine Nut, but it comes in other flavors too: Roasted Red Pepper, Classic, Greek Olive and many others. I accidentally picked up the Greek Olive instead of the Pine Nut today, but I don't mind because it's so good. I could eat it right out of the package with a spoon;-) Check out their website and see all the flavors of hummus and other products they have.

Savoring the Thyme
Roasted Garlic Hummus Quesadilla

One of the aspects of my job with Sabra Hummus is to get creative with recipes (not bad thing right?) so I decided this morning that I was going to make a sandwich.
I went to work using leftover whole chicken, a half used red pepper, some reduced fat Athenos Feta and some Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus. I simply spread some hummus on the Flatout Light Italian Wrap and topped with some thin slices of chicken. I then chopped up the red pepper (use a lot for the crunch factor) and some feta.
I then grilled it (on my press) until crispy, allowed it to cool slightly on a cooling rack and then consumed. Naturally my husband and son saw me munching and came a running.
Have you tried using hummus in grilled sandwiches? What recipes do you do most often with hummus?
